Lee A. Mezrah, a Tampa native, attended Jesuit High School and continued his education at the University of Alabama, where he obtained a B.S. in Marketing in May 1989. After graduation, he returned to Tampa and began a career in his family's business, Mezrah Financial.
Currently, Lee is President of Mezrah Financial and focuses on working with young, high net worth professionals and entrepreneurs in designing and implementing executive benefit programs as well as consulting on investment, tax and personal financial planning opportunities. His expertise in these areas offers his clients innovative, individually tailored solutions to complex situations.
As a professional committed to his business, he has been involved in industry associations including membership in the American Association of Life Underwriters (AALU), Tampa Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (TAIFA), the Million Dollar Round Table1 and the Top of the Table2.*
Lee has achieved several industry designations, including the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). In addition, he is a Investment Advisor Representative.
Lee's community involvement is best exemplified by his past involvement on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Community Center and the Tampa Jewish Federation (Young Adult Division).
Lee is also a member of a number of organizations supporting local business efforts including the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 100, Enterprise Corporation of Tampa, the Young Leadership Conference, and the CEO Roundtable. He also has served on the Small Business of the Year Awards Committee.
He received The Business Journal's 40 Under 40 award in 2000 and Tampa Bay Business Journal's Who's Who in Tampa Bay Business - Banking and Finance in 2005.
His extensive knowledge of the insurance industry has caught the attention of the judicial system in Hillsborough County, where Lee has been called upon as an expert witness in court cases involving life insurance-related issues.
He contributes much of his time to philanthropic endeavors. All of this is done through a not-for-profit 501(c) corporation that he co-founded in the early 1990s, the 13 Ugly Men Foundation, Inc. He currently sits on the Board of Directors. The group has raised and donated over $300,000 to local charities since its founding.
